Create A Codeplug - Basic

This tutorial will provide for the basics of building a code plug.

What is a Code Plug?

A code plug is a data file which contains configuration such as Frequencies, Color Code, Offsets, Talk Groups, and general radio settings. Basically it is a required part of allowing the radio to function.

A code plug is created by using software called "Customer Programming Software" or for short "CPS". You will need the software and the included cable to upload it into the radio.

Basic Terminology

Zone: Grouping of Individual Channels into folder like structure. Talk Group: Virtual Channel (ID, Alias Name)
